General Program Requirements for Adopting from Ghana
To be eligible for adoption from Ghana, married couples must be 25 to 50 years old and at least 21 years older than the child they are seeking to adopt. Single women, Prospective parents over 50 or with health issues/disabilities (with physician support) may be approved with special permission from the Department of Social Welfare. Families should have no more than 6 children currently in their home (although special permission may be granted for larger families). |
