Kentucky Adoption Services offers Haitian adoptions through Brebis de Saint-Michel de L’Attalaye orphanage in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. “BRESMA’ was established in August of 2002 under the direction of Margarette Saint-Fleur, a Haitian citizen and life-long advocate for the needy in her country. To date, BRESMA has successfully completed the adoptions of over 600 children to France, Holland, Spain, Canada, and the United States. Families of all faiths are welcome.
Our Haitian program offers the most detailed and individualized international adoption referrals possible. Our program coordinator, Diana Boni, travels to Haiti. She lives with the children at the orphanage to observe their behavior and development in detail. Kentucky Adoption Services is able to match children to families based upon the personalities and needs of all involved in the adoption.
Haitian adoptions were typically taking twelve to twenty-four months after a family’s dossier reached the orphanage prior to the earthquake of January 12th, 2010. During that time, Kentucky Adoption Services provides support, education, and opportunities to travel to Haiti for our waiting parents.
