General Adoptive Parent Requirements for an Adoption from Nepal.
Families with no children must be open to a child of either gender. Families with a child/children of only one gender will be referred a child of the opposite gender. Families with children of both genders are not eligible to adopt from Nepal. Both married couples and singles are accepted for adoptions. Families must be a minimum of 30 years old. Those 30 - 45 years of age are eligible to adopt an infant. Parents 45 - 50 must be open to a toddler and those 50- 55 should be accepting of a slightly older child.
