Adopting from El Salvador: The El Salvador Adoption Program
Kentucky Adoption Services, Inc. offers adoption services in El Salvador for toddlers and older children in need of permanent families. KAS works with both private relinquishment cases through a reputable, Christian attorney and with the children residing in the children's homes in El Salvador.
Toddlers and older children, including those with special needs and sibling groups are available for referral from El Salvador. Some of the younger children through this program will be placed into loving foster homes.
The time frame for adoption from El Salvador is unpredictable at this time, but is estimated to be between 18 - 24 months, with the majority falling somewhere in the middle. Typically, a referral will be offered to a paper-ready family in 10 - 15 months, however, depending on the family's request this wait for a referral could be shorter or longer.
El Salvador has lower fees for adoption then many countries.
KAS is not currently accepting families who are only interested in the adoption of an infant. KAS has an entire ministry, called "Jeremiah 29:11" whose purpose is to assist institutionalized children and their families.
